In high school every now and then I would get home from Swimming Team practice early and would hear from a distance these drums beating. I knew that Bob was in his garage beating the hell out of his drums. Bob lived at 90th and Dickens and I lived at 89th and Froude in Surfside. But even from that distance you could hear Bob. Then years later having a pizza in one of his resturants in London and recalling life at Beach High was always a fun evening.

Bob died when he was 50 years old from a heart attack while driving his Land Rover on his way home in London. He was greatly loved by so many.
